Mike Burstein

Prior to joining LVCP, Coach Burstein worked in Vallejo, California where he was the head of the P.E. Department and Athletic Director for grades 3 - 8. He has been in physical education for over five years and started his career coaching flag and tackle football for Walnut Creek Sports. He was introduced to high school football and coached for Las Lomas High, where he coached running backs and the defensive line. Coach Burstein has also coached high school softball at The Athenian School in Danville. He has also worked with athletes at Velocity Sports Performance in Concord. Coach Burstein graduated from CSU East Bay with his B.S. in Kinesiology with an option in Physical Education Teaching. He also earned his teaching credential in Physical Education and Health Science, and recently earned his M.S. in Recreation Management.
