Gary Einhorn

Gary Einhorn has been a teacher since 1991. He graduated with an Honors degree in mathematics from Haverford College in Pennsylvania where he did his thesis on n-1 dimensional slicings of n-dimensional convex shapes.  He has two Master's Degrees, one in Secondary Education with a concentration in Urban Planning, and the other in Administrative Education.  He was a contributor to the revised edition of Shelia Tobias' text, "Overcoming Math Anxiety" and has done extensive work both with "at-risk" groups as well as advanced students.  Mr. Einhorn was the Director at the prestigious Summer Science Program in Ojai, CA for (3) years where he taught Calculus and Physics and guided students on a project to locate asteroids on photographic plates and then calculate their orbits. He was a Lead Teacher at Manzanita Middle School, the first Charter School in Richmond, and the Educational Director at West County Community High School for 5 years where he shared the role of Principal while teaching pre-calculus, geometry, algebra 2, among other subjects. A self-proclaimed "nerd", Mr. Einhorn enjoys the British-style "cryptic" crossword puzzles, learning about new findings (and old findings) in science, and running.
